Tri-County Bike Ride raises awareness of needs in Haiti
The second annual Tri-County Save Haiti Bike Ride drew hundreds of cyclists, community leaders and volunteers bearing a message of hope and healing for Haiti.
LAKE PARK — Beginning on a chilly morning at town hall and ending nearly 12 hours later at the Little Haiti Cultural Center in Miami, the second annual Tri-County Save Haiti Bike Ride Jan. 14 drew hundreds of cyclists, community leaders and volunteers bearing a message of hope and healing.
Sponsored by Color of Hope Inc., a Lake Worth-based, non-profit organization that seeks to strengthen Haiti, Haitian-Americans and the Haitian immigrant community in Palm Beach County, the event aimed to galvanize support for reconstruction efforts in Haiti following the devastating earthquake there two years ago.
