Great piece Moise. This statement is really going to stick with me: "Solving the problem of access to education, however, requires visionary leadership, a skill set that is lacking in Haitian society. "[what are] the kinds of skills that students need to succeed in the 21st century? A few of these skills are problem- solving, critical thinking, communication, creativity, organization, collaboration, and cooperation. Improving the quality of a country’s education system is terribly difficult. "
I am one of those who think that we need the cream of the crop to teach and guide the next generation so they can meet the incredible challenges that face Haiti and make up for lost time. Our efforts have to be focused on creating future leaders and visionaries.

Great article. Love the problem and solutions. You guys are doing your thing well and keep it up. You guys eloquently put into focus the issues with Haitian Entrepreneurial pursuits. Though Haiti is one of a prime focus, our focus is on those here that will be needed when ideas like yours finally see the light of implementation in Haiti. Tackling those distant from the community that may one day be willing to be future investors, mover's and shaker's, and travelers to Haiti. There is a large number of Haitian American who will not budge on traveling to Haiti. So great what you guys are doing and pointing out. if more did this and focus on the hunger for opportunity among those with no affiliation would make a big difference. I hope you guys are working to be this medium for change in this area. :)

What The National Haitian-American Forum is doing in bringing together Haitian-Americans of all backgrounds to discuss, reflect and offer their thoughts on issues affecting our community is fantastic and should be commended for its efforts in that regard.

We haven't been as effective as we could be as a community because we haven't always collaborated as we should have in the past in order to work as a unit to advance our community's concerns and issues.

To advance the causes of the Haitian-American community and gain the respect we deserve we must know that it is paramount that we learn to function as one unit so that we may take full advantage of our growing political clot to influence the political actors that represents our community.

Again, I applaud all of you in The National Haitian-American Forum for all that you're doing to educate our people on the issues affecting us and bringing together our community.

Prinece Milo~
